Honoring Place, Culture, and Community
Our North Carolina practice is led by Dr. Terrence D. Judd, a psychologist whose work is rooted in relationship, accountability, and respect for the communities he serves. He provides care not only as a clinician, but as someone shaped by the cultural, historical, and regional contexts of the people he works with. His approach honors lived experience, family systems, and the realities faced by individuals and communities navigating barriers to mental health care.
While services are open to everyone, our work is grounded in an understanding of how trauma, displacement, generational silence, and inequity shape mental health across Black, Indigenous, and rural communities in North Carolina. We provide care that listens carefully, respects cultural values, and avoids extractive or pathologizing approaches to story, identity, and healing.
